About the Job:

As Dispatcher/Transportation Coordinator, you will be dealing with a group of 20-30 bus operators providing service on regularly scheduled routes as well as single and multi-day charters. Established schedules and work assignments must be compliant with federal laws as well as promote safety and customer service. This is a 1st shift position running until 6pm, most likely a Tuesday - Saturday position with some flexibility for special events. off during the week. Flexibility is required; initial training will be on day shift 7-4. 

DUTIES:

As Dispatcher/Transportation Coordinator you will report to the Operations Manager. We have a diverse group of drivers, so communication skills are necessary. Duties include but are not limited to : 

• Comply with federal laws as well as promote safety and customer service.
• Develop and maintain a positive relationship with all drivers and support staff. .
• Understand DOT Hours of Service and review logs and address any compliance issues. 
• Fairly observe and review drivers' performance.
• Handle accidents and complaints in a timely manner.
• Assure enforcement of all rules and policies as provided by the President and COO.
• Ensure drivers are in proper uniform and on time for their shift.
• Handle driver scheduling issues and conflicts as they arise.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma is required. 
• Experience in transportation logistics is preferred and will offset a lack of an Associate degree. 
• Must demonstrate qualities of leadership and administrative ability. 
• Ability to plan, initiate, direct, and carry out short and long-term programs. 
• Candidates holding a cdl with passenger endorsement are preferred
