Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Automotive Title Clerk. The Title Clerk will be responsible for processing and managing all vehicle titles for the dealership, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all state and federal regulations. The candidate must have previous experience in automotive title processing, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: * Title Processing:

  • Accurately process all vehicle titles for new and pre-owned vehicle sales.
  • Ensure all titles are completed and submitted to the appropriate state agencies in a timely manner.
  • Verify the accuracy of information on titles and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Title Management:
  • Obtain and maintain all incoming titles from trades, auction cars, street purchases, etc.
  • Ensure titles are properly transferred and documented according to dealership and regulatory requirements.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all title transactions.
  • Ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate before submission.
  • Handle any title-related discrepancies or issues promptly and efficiently.
Coordination and Communication:
  • Work closely with the sales and finance teams to gather necessary information and ensure smooth title processing.
  • Communicate effectively with state and local agencies to resolve any title issues.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers with title-related questions or concerns.
Compliance and Regulations:
  • Stay informed about and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to vehicle titles.
  • Ensure all title processing practices adhere to dealership policies and procedures.
Team Collaboration:
  • Work as a team player, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide input on improving processes and procedures.
Organizational Skills:
  • Keep an organized and systematic filing system for all title documents.
  • Ensure all documents are easily accessible for review and audit.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
Adaptability and Flexibility:
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to adjust to changing priorities and procedures.
  • Be open to taking on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Experience required. Applications will not be considered without prior automotive title processing experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with a team and get along with colleagues.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to vehicle titles.
  • Ability to thrive in a structured environment while being flexible to adjust when necessary.
  • Proficiency in managing deadlines and high workloads.
  • Initiative to ask questions and solve problems as they arise.
